    Shaan Singh Bains, a 16-year-old enrolled at Kentucky Country Day School, is known for his achievements and commitment to excellence. Shaan has demonstrated remarkable entrepreneurial prowess by founding his successful auto detailing enterprise at 16. As a strong leader, he has steered his school's robotics team to the state championship, showing his love for engineering and innovation. Shaan has exhibited exceptional leadership qualities in leading various programs, including the Entrepreneurs and Investors Club, where he collaborates with his colleague, Adam Dockstader, to encourage a culture of business and entrepreneurship among his peers. He has also played a massive role as a proactive bill author within the Y-Club, showing his liking for governance and policy. His partnership with Adam Dockstader extends to the DECA Franchise Business Plan event, where their collaborative efforts have consistently collected recognition. Motivated by a profound passion for the intersection of business and engineering, Shaan aspires to pursue an education that reflects his interests. With a loyal dedication to his long-term ambitions, Shaan envisions obtaining a Master of Business Administration to complement his future career, while concurrently pursuing degrees in either Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science. With an ultimate vision to establish a pioneering car company that embodies the essence of contemporary internal combustion engines and a culture of relentless innovation, Shaan remains loyal to inspiring and galvanizing his community toward unparalleled heights of achievement and progress.

  • Adam Dockstader

    Co-Founder

    Adam Dockstader is a dedicated and accomplished high school junior, currently 17 years old, attending Kentucky Country Day. Adam's interest in finance and data analysis is evident through his internship at Manna Capital Partners, a distinguished private equity firm. Alongside his academic pursuits, Adam thrives in sports, showcasing his talents as a varsity athlete in cross country and track while enjoying recreational activities such as tennis and biking. His commitment to making a difference is highlighted by his presidency in various school clubs, including the Environmental Club and the Spanish Club. Additionally, he serves as the co-president of the Entrepreneurs and Investors Club alongside his partner, Shaan Bains, while being involved in several academic teams. Adam's ambitions to attend an Ivy League university, compete in Division 1 cross country and track, and pursue an MBA underscore his dedication to creating a positive impact in the world, particularly in areas such as waste reduction and community service.

  • James Racine

    Board Member

    James Racine is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Kentucky Country Day School, where he leads efforts to foster a more inclusive and equitable environment for students, faculty, and staff. In addition to his role at KCD, James is the Owner and Principal Consultant of Identity Diversity Solutions, a consultancy he founded in August 2018. For over six years, he has provided expert guidance on diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies for various organizations. He is also the Executive Director of Blazin' Strings Academy, a program he has been leading since July 2018, which focuses on empowering young musicians through education and performance opportunities. James’ passion for creating spaces where everyone feels valued and his strategic leadership are evident in both his consultancy work and his educational initiatives.

  • Amy Elliott

    Community Outreach Director

    Amy Elliott is the current athletic director at Kentucky Country Day, a private college preparatory school in Louisville, Kentucky. She has a degree in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Education from Wake Forest University. Mrs. Elliott was also a Division I field hockey player while attending Wake Forest. She was named Kentucky's 2020-21 Field Hockey Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations. Mrs. Elliott has held many leadership positions during her 18 years at KCD: Athletic Director, Assistant Athletic Director, Dean of Students, Upper School Math Teacher, Head Varsity Girl’s Field Hockey Coach, and Assistant Varsity Girl’s Lacrosse coach. Amy is married to Jamey Elliott and is a proud mom to Sekayi and Nashe Charasika and Riley and Lanie Elliott.
